ABOUT ANDY

Raised in San Antonio, Texas, Andy fell in love with performing when he played the titular role in his second-grade play - “The Cheese Stands Alone” (he thanks his parents for making said Cheese costume out of foam, cardboard, and love). Andy made his New York debut in the highly acclaimed summer production of Gypsy at New York City Center, directed by Arthur Laurents and starring Patti LuPone. Shortly after, he made his Broadway debut at the age of 12 in Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical, followed by the Broadway transfer of Gypsy. When his run with Gypsy finished, Andy moved back to Texas to be a normal eighth grader.

His time at his performing arts high school, the North East School of the Arts, was (pleasantly) interrupted when he was cast in the world premiere production of Newsies at Paper Mill Playhouse during his junior year. Following a very successful limited run, the production transferred to Broadway. Andy originated the role of Romeo and had the privilege of succeeding the role of Crutchie a year later, which he continued until the show’s closing. He then fervently pursued his education at NYU where he studied musical theatre and American Sign Language, while also taking time to do summer stock and two national tours (Newsies and Kinky Boots). Immediately upon graduation, Andy joined the national tour of Wicked as a member of the ensemble and an understudy for Boq, the Munchkin. After 1400 “thrillifying” performances in Munchkinland, Andy is back in NY, singlehandedly keeping independent bookstores in business and depleting his local grocery store’s shelves of Reese’s peanut butter cups.
